So, you should all know that I value your time, and don’t wish to annoy or distract you with unnecessary posts. If I don’t have anything useful to say, I don’t say it. If I don’t have anything productive to post, I don’t post it. That being the case, it’s time to start kicking art production into high gear. Let’s make something awesome!
I went to CTNX this year, and as usual, I found all sorts of great inspiration. Each time I attend, I’ve made it a point to plan my goals for the future. It’s a great time to do so, because at the time you’re pumped up by all the great art around you, and hope that you’ll be able to do something equally great. Much like New Years resolutions however, being able to keep those promises to yourself have proven near-impossible. So- How can I make this work? How can I hold true to the goals and deadlines that I set for myself?
The answer- Small Accomplish-able Goals
I intend to post regular updates of accomplished art projects each week to keep myself motivated. In the past, my greatest challenge was staying focused on my work, and keeping myself from getting lazy. The updates will not be huge or grandiose, but they will demonstrate an accomplishment that I can answer to, and keep myself going.
PS- what projects am I thinking about?
2-Animated Short: The Fierce Beast
3-Demo for a sprite-based Game
Just looking at that list makes my skin crawl, ’cause I know how much work is implied by all of them. One of the first things I need to do with each of them is break that insane work load into workable chunks that I know I can accomplish in a reasonable period of time. Again- Small Accomplish-able Goals! Will update again with a breakdown for these projects. It’ll be dull and unintelligible to anyone other than myself, but it’ll give me an overview of what I’m getting myself into. Organization is key!! Thanks for reading!
